The Launch of Marvellous Maps

The Trojan War came to the Year 5 clasroom!
Year 5 have really enjoyed our history topic on Ancient Greece so to end the topic we did a drama and freeze frames of the events of the Trojan War! They were really in the spirit of their roles as I am sure you can tell.

Does the liquid affect how the iron nail rusts?
In science, the children have been discovering the properties of iron. As well as discovering it is the main magnetic metal, the children discovered it is a metal which rusts very badly. With our science heads on, we want to know what makes iron rust so badly!

Alien Soup!
Alien Soup has been delivered to Class 5, and we wanted to work out what it was made of. We used the scientific methods we'd learnt about to separate the materials to their original forms. The flour in some children's soup was unfortunately not a reversible change!
