Class Three are loving turning their scientific knowledge on plants into an iMovie. Children will be able to add videos, pictures, music and text to present information about plants (in an engaging way) in their cinema showcase.

Soluble or insoluble?
In SITE we learnt about new vocabulary: soluble, insoluble, solute, solvent and solution. The baking power (solute) mixed with the hot water (solvent) caused a surprising reaction!

Spanish Launch Day
Hola! We had wonderful Spanish launch day yesterday. The children looked superb in their Spanish outfits and really enjoyed flamenco dancing to traditional music! They also enjoyed tasting juicy oranges and olives from Spain and learning lots of interesting facts.

Year 5 have begun their SITE focus on 'properties and changes of materials' with an experimental observation on thermal conductors and insulators. Year 5 thought the ice on the metal would stay a solid for longer as it feels cold, but they learnt that heat/energy always travels to a colder place.…

Buddy Time: Christmas Biscuit Decorating
Year 6 ended the term with some quality time with their Class R buddies. We all enjoyed some biscuit decorating, Year 6s helped their buddies select and add festive sugar decorations to some gingerbread stars and helped them turn them into tree decorations with some ribbon. A wonderful session…

Class 3 Stone Age Shelters
Class Three have been making the most of the last day and dry weather this morning. We have been using natural materials to create shelters from different periods of the Stone Age. Everyone worked so well together - fantastic!

Reception and KS1 Christmas Party
The children in Reception and KS1 had a brilliant afternoon at their Christmas party.
We enjoyed playing games, dancing, showing off our party clothes and eating all the scrumptious party food.

Christmas Lanterns
We have made Christmas lanterns today to compliment our science topic 'Electricity'. The children made a simple circuit with a switch and then designed and made these colourful festive lights. The children are looking forward to using their lanterns over the Christmas period!

Roman Mosaics!
