Year 5 used their knowledge on forces to create a parachute that would help their egg survive a drop from a two-storey building. They were fantastic! They considered surface area, weight and gravity, air resistance and protection for the egg; all while working efficiently and working out the costs…

HISTORY OF CHOCOLATE MAYAN DAY!
The children have had LOADS of fun today learning about Mayan food. We tried a traditional chocolate recipe, including chilli and cinnamon - it was disgusting!! We then had the task to be innovative and create, brand and make our own (much tastier) recipes.

Forces Launch
Today we launched our new SITE focus on FORCES! The children had loads of fun learning about how all forces are either push or pull and are balanced or unbalanced. This included seeing who had the greater force in tug of war and if they can make their forces balanced!
