Developing debate
The children have LOVED our focus on debate! This week we were developing our speaking and listening skills - this involved lots of fun games. The children's favourite was articulate. They had to describe a noun or verb without saying the actual word, this meant they had to quickly think on the spot but be incredibly clear and concise, whilst their partner had to listen carefully under a time pressure. The difference in their debate was remarkable when we played conscious alley at the end of the lesson.
