Who can do what?
Class 4 have been exploring gender stereotypes this week. They've looked at what this means and the impact is can have on those involved.
They were totally shocked by some of the statements such as 'Girls can't do strong jobs like building' and 'Only men are allowed to be powerful'. This prompted a great discussion by the class and allowed us to talk about equality. Mrs Turner and I realised we are also teaching some of the most headstrong children we know; they definitely know what is fair and what isn't... watch out big wide world!
