Class Two had a great day for No Pens Day this week. In the morning, we used dominoes to find the double and half of different one-digit numbers. We enjoyed playing some games such as Kaboom which used our knowledge of our times tables and common exception words. On the iPads, we worked on Espresso Coding as well as solving some quick recall maths questions.

In Maths, we explored multiplication equations by creating arrays using counters.

In our English lesson, we completed a practical activity to construct a variety of sentences about Mary Anning. The children worked in pairs to rehearse their sentences out loud and there was lots of fantastic discussion about the different sentences they could create. The class were then challenged with improving their sentences by adding sentence openers and conjunctions.
