No Pens Day? No Problem!

Class 4 have been really looking forward to 'No Pens Day'...they secretly thought they were off timetable however, Miss Ings had other ideas!

We did our maths lesson via a treasure hunt in the classroom - these incorporated all the skills we have learnt so far; place value, rounding, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and even two step word problems!

For English, we used drama to further explore our class story 'Escape from Pompeii'. The children became the characters and immersed themselves in the book by recreating it. We had some super actors and even better language! To finish, we used conscience alley to show empathy and emotion with the main characters; here the children came up with super words to describe how they would feel after the volcanic eruption. There were words like, mournful, devastated and heartbroken!

As always, super work Class 4... you always rise to the challenge!
