How do you separate materials?
In SITE today, the children learnt about many different ways to separate materials such as: filtration, evaporation, distillation and many more. Year 5 were then given 'Alien Soup' consisting of water, sand, rice and paperclips. The children had to separate the materials to their original states using a range of methods rather than their hands. The water looked so clear, it could have been drunk!
