Christening Trip
This week Class 2 went on a very special trip to the village church to christen baby Angela. In RE lessons with Mrs Jennings the children have been learning all about how babies are welcomed into the world and celebrations that take place surrounding this event including Christenings. The children were welcomed at the church by Rev Jane who explained just what a christening was and conducted a mock christening for our baby which the children named Angela. We selected children to play the role of Mummy, Daddy, Godmother and Godfather and the rest of the children were the guests. Everyone wore their special clothes for the event and when the children arrived back at school they decorated buns and made gifts to give to the baby.
