Stone Age Explorers

Class 3 had a great day on Monday launching their new history and science topics. We spent the day being Stone Age explorers, learning about different aspects of life from that period in time. We started the day by placing ourselves along a timeline of history to see how far back the Stone Age occurred. Throughout the day Class 3 undertook various tasks, from creating their own versions of cave paintings to trying Stone Age food. All the children agreed that their favourite activity was when we had to hunt for our lunch and use our Stone Age spears to do so. In the afternoon, we focused on our new science topic of rocks and soil. The children enjoyed looking for various types of rocks around the school grounds and discussing which rocks may have been found in the Stone Age. Everyone was exhausted at the end of the day, but looking forward to learning more throughout our lessons this half term.
