Animal Habitats
During our SITE launch, Class 2 received a letter from Farmer Pete saying that he had seen lots of animals over Summer and he wasn't sure that they would be able to make shelters for the Winter months. After investigating our local habitat, children identified evidence of different animals such as rabbits, moles and pigeons.
Since then, the children have been thinking about what a habitat is. Today, we explored four habitats; urban, coastal, pond and woodland. We identified which animals and plants are suited to each environment. Fantastic work Class 2!
