Australia Day 2020
We have been learning all about the human and physical features of Sydney, Australia in our geography topic this half term. To support our learning, we celebrated Australia Day and looked at the wider geography of the country.
The children used the information they had learnt to create an informative poster explaining why people should visit Australia.
We put our taste buds to the test and discovered the dividing flavour of ‘Vegemite’. This received mixed reviews from the children, as you can see by the facial expressions in the photographs below!
In the afternoon, we used powder paints to mix colours to match those inspired by aboriginal artwork and made tradition Australian Lamington cakes.
