Baby Emma's Baptism

Image of Baby Emma's Baptism

The rain did not stop us from walking to Church this week! Class Two had a wonderful time at Baby Emma’s christening as part of their learning in RE. We learnt about what happens during a Baptism service and why this is important to some Christians when welcoming a new baby into the world.

Reverend Morgan used lots of important symbols such as candles, blessed water, oil and a shell. We found out that the Baptism candle is taken outside at the end of the service to symbolise God’s light being shared with the world.

The godparents and the rest of the class all made a promise to love and care for baby Emma.

We were so proud of the children for their sensible behaviour and think they represented the school fantastically!
