Art Day
Class One has been full of artists today! We have been using paint to create under the sea inspired artwork. The children used powder paint to create different tints and shades of blue. We learnt that by adding white to the mixture, the colour becomes lighter. This is called a tint. By adding black, the colour gets darker. This is called a shade.
The children also enjoyed creating coral by blowing bubbles into poster paint mixed with washing up liquid. The children finished their masterpieces by printing paint onto fish using a sponge and sticking everything together to create an underwater scene.
Great work Class One!
