Winter Explorer Day
WINTER IS COMING
Today Class R have enjoyed taking part in a winter explorer day. They began the day by discussing things they know about winter. The class then prepared for going outside. We used the top field and in our key worker groups we built dens. Each group selected an area they thought would be good and then the children worked together to create a den. The children did an amazing job with their dens and earned themselves a nice hot chocolate and a biscuit. The children enjoyed their drink in the outdoor classroom whilst they listened to the story 'Jack Frost'. We discussed the word 'hibernating' in this story and the children thought of animals that hibernated.
The children have enjoyed the day and are looking forward to exploring ways to rescue a penguin from inside a ball of ice!
