Class Trip to Meanwood Valley Farm

This week we have had a brilliant time on our first school trip. We went on a double decker bus to Meanwood Valley Farm. The children had a fantastic time spotting farm animals before going off on a minibeast hunt. We found lots of minibeasts including spiders, ants, slugs, snails, bees, centipedes and millipedes. The children were eager to explore the different habitats the minibeasts lived in.

Once we had done our hunt we had our packed lunches. The children were very excited to see what they had in their lunch boxes! Once lunch was over we went pond dipping. The children took turns to use the nets and we found lots of tadpoles in the pond.

Before we set off back to school there was just enough time for a quick turn on the playground.

We were so proud of the children's behaviour and we were so proud of how sensible and engaged they were throughout the day.
