Chinese New Year in Class 6
We celebrated Chinese New Year in our Class. We started the day by listening to some traditional festival music and thinking about what the sounds reminded us of and how they made us feel. The children then recieved some lucky red envelopes from Miss Prankard, these are traditonally filled with lucky money - however, the children we treated to some themed maths problems! Much better than money! After maths, we engaged in some cross-curricular writing by producing our own versions of the Legend of Nian. We completed our celebrations with some food tasting of Chinese foods and had some sweets to take home!
