Post Office Visit

The children have really enjoyed learning about the Jolly Postman this half term. They loved walking to the local post office in Bramham to deliver the letters they had written. The letters were addressed the the Queen to inform her of all the information the children had learnt about Her Royal Highness as part of the Queen and Country topic.

Before the letters could be posted, they had to be weighed on the scales and have a 1st class stamp added to envelope. Louise in the post office explained to the children what would happen to the letters after they had been posted and the journey they would take to London before arriving at Buckingham Palace.

Whilst the children were waiting to go into the post office, they created some fantastic observational drawings of the shop and coloured them in when they arrived back at school.
