13 March 2020
This week we went to Weetwood Sports Park for the Leeds City Hockey Finals. For most players in the team this was their first ever experience in competitive Hockey and they adjusted very well and quickly against some very good teams throughout the day. Overall we were able to win 3 of our 6 games and improved so much from the experience. The players also represented the school brilliantly and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tournament!

11 March 2020
In their latest Netball outing the team travelled to Shadwell for a league match. The game started very closely, with the score still being level at halftime! In the second half we continued to play well, although Shadwell were able to take their chances and eventually got the win.
Y5/6 Netball match away at Deighton Gates (4/3/20) – Lost 12-0
4 March 2020
The team went to Deighton Gates for league game this week. Playing against an excellent team, it was a tough game for the squad. However, it was an important experience to learn from and we’re not afraid to play very good teams from across Leeds in order to improve; I’m sure the team will take lots from the game.
Y5/6 Netball match at home vs Holy Name – Won 5-1 (3/3/20)
3 March 2020
The team hosted a Netball match for the first time this season and were able to get a great league win! We took the chances we created and were able to stay with our players defensively. There were lots of positives to take from the game and we’re going to do our best to continue to improve throughout the year.
Y5/6 Netball match away at Highfield – Lost 7-0 (7/2/20)
7 February 2020
In their first Netball match of the season the squad travelled to Highfield. For the majority of the team it was their first time playing competitive Netball at all and for most of the game they were able to keep the score close. It was unfortunate that towards the end Highfield were able to pull away and convert more of their chances. Still, we will use the experience to better ourselves in the future.
Y5 Football away at St Paul’s - Lost 7-0 (5/2/20)
5 February 2020
For this game we took half of the Year 5 class to play away at St Paul’s. For a lot of the team it was their first game playing for school and they really made the most of their chance! It was always going to be a difficult game as it was our first time playing together as a team and the children were mature enough to not let the score line bother them and continue to put in 100% throughout!

17 January 2020
On Friday we played our first Y4 game of the season as they travelled to Woodlesford in the cup. We even had a few Y3s helping the team out and the whole team played magnificently, keeping the score close throughout and only conceding a few more goals right towards the end. They also represented the school in a great manner, proving they are ready to compete against more schools in the future!
Y5/6 Girls’ Football West Yorkshire Qualifiers (15/1/20)
15 January 2020
This week we took our girls’ football team to the West Yorkshire Qualifiers. The team did really well to adapt to a style of football they weren’t used to, with the ball never going off the pitch and bouncing off the walls. Although we were able to win some games, including one 5-0! We also came up against some very strong opposition and with only one team being able to qualify we just missed out. Still, it was a great learning opportunity for the team!
Y5/6 Boys’ Football match away at Deighton Gates – Drew 0-0, Lost 3-1 on pens (15/1/20)
15 January 2020
After a busy afternoon for the girls, it was the boys’ turn to compete in the evening as they travelled to Deighton Gates for their cup game. Despite Deighton Gates having the majority of the possession and chances on goal, our boys defended brilliantly and work so hard as a team, managing to take the game all the way to penalties! Although we just missed out in the shoot out, the team can feel very proud of how they are performing this season!
Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics Regional Finals – 4th Place (7/1/20)
7 January 2020
On the second day back after Christmas we took our Y6 class, with some Y5s as well, to the Regional Athletics Finals. Having won the previous competition to qualify for this one, we knew there would be some excellent teams there, but considered ourselves to be excellent as well. Having tried their best in each event and race, we were able to finish 4th overall, which is a great achievement out of around 25 teams in the area! Special mention to our girls Speed Bouncers who even came first in the area at their event!
Y5/6 Boys’ Football match at home vs Primrose Lane (29/11/19) – Lost 4-2
29 November 2019
The boys hosted Primrose Lane Primary on Friday in their latest league encounter. The team were riding high off their latest victory and the excellent performances continued as they took the lead twice against very good opposition with two excellent goals from Theo! Although they weren’t able to hang on to the lead the boys showed great attacking endeavour and a continued willingness to improve throughout all their games so far this season; they should be very proud of their efforts!
Y5/6 Girls’ Football match away at Shadwell (27/11/19) – Won 3-1
27 November 2019
The girl’s team played a friendly match this week as they travelled to play a Shadwell team. The whole team played brilliantly and with more experienced players absent, were able to take responsibility for the game and how the team did. Sophia was even able to score all 3 goals for Bramham, which was a great personal achievement, but it was the whole team who really earned this win!

26 November 2019
We took our Y5/6 Sportshall Athletics team to Temple Learning Academy to compete in the first round of the Regional Competition. The tournament included multiple relay races as well as throwing and jumping events. It was great to be competing as such a big team and everyone played their part and did their best. Their efforts meant that we were able to win the whole competition and have qualified for Regional Finals! What a brilliant achievement!
Y5/6 Girls’ Football matches away at Shadwell (8/11/19) – Lost 1-0 & 3-1
8 November 2019
The girls’ football team played both league matches against Shadwell this week. In the first game they were unlucky to lose to a last minute goal, having worked so hard and created some chances of their own. The second fixture was a much more open event, with Shadwell scoring a couple of quick goals early on and we were chasing the game from that point. We were able to get a goal back via a great run from Mia, but pushing for the equaliser always left us susceptible to the counter attack; and that’s what happened when Shadwell added a third. Still, two valiant performances from the team who should be proud of their efforts!
Y5/6 Boys’ Football match away at Bardsey (6/11/19) – Lost 3-0
6 November 2019
The boys’ team travelled to Bardsey this week in their latest league fixture. An even first half saw a few chances and a lot of the ball in midfield. Bardsey were able to take the lead when they seized on a Bramham goal kick and finished their chance. Although Bardsey were able to apply further pressure on Bramham’s goal, Bramham were unlucky with how they conceded goals number two and three, as both took heavy deflections off defenders. Despite losing, the boys felt all three goals were rectifiable and that gave them confidence for when they play Bardsey again in a couple of weeks.
Y5/6 Girls’ Football match at home vs St Theresa’s (18/10/19) – Drew 3-3
18 October 2019
The girls had a thrilling match this week as they hosted St Theresa’s in the league. Both teams took the lead at different points in the game, and both teams were able to recover and get back into the game. With lots of great attacking play, and equally good defending and resilience on show, this was a contender for the game of the season! A draw was probably a fair result as it would have been tough to take for either team to lose this game.
Y5 Regional Dodgeball Tournament (17/10/19)
17 October 2019
We took our Y5 Dodgeball team to the Leeds Regional competition this week and they competed brilliantly, able to beat some of the other schools who were competing and narrowly losing their other games. They were also able to work well as a team and communicate with each other in very intense games!
Y5/6 Girls’ Football match at home vs Meanwood (11/10/19) – Lost 7-2
11 October 2019
The girls played their first home game of the season as they hosted Meanwood on Friday. Despite losing, on another day the score line could have been a lot closer; we were unlucky to concede some of the goals that we did, but we are still learning the game and how to play together as a team which will no doubt take time! We have our next game at home against St Theresa’s next Friday.
Y5/6 Boys’ Football match away at Deighton Gates (9/10/19) – Lost 4-2
9 October 2019
This week the boys played their first game of the season as they travelled to Deighton Gates. Despite conceding two goals early on the team kept their focus and persevered. Although they were always trailing throughout the match we were able to make it closer and most importantly, stayed focused throughout! It was a very positive first game for the team and we look forward to building on this when we host Bardsey next week.
Y5/6 Girls’ Football match away at Wetherby St Joseph’s (2/10/19) – Won 3-1
2 October 2019
The new Y5/6 Girls team looked to get their season underway this week as they made the trip over to Wetherby to play St Joseph’s. As it was the team’s first game together the girls did really well to keep their shape and create their own chances. Even though the halftime score was 0-0 the team was playing some great football. This continued into the second half and within a few minutes of the restart the girls were 2-0 up; the first when Mia’s corner was brilliantly finished by Lucy, and the second when a deflected shot ricochet in. Even though St Joseph’s pulled one back, the team showed a tremendous amount of composure to keep calm and even extended the lead when Mia added Bramham’s third. A fantastic result to start the season, and we’re looking forward to playing Meanwood at home next week!
