At Bramham Primary School, nestled in the heart of Bramham village, we’re proud to offer an inspiring, inclusive learning environment that is rated Good by Ofsted (January 2024 inspection). Our early years provision and pupils’ behaviour, welfare and personal development are deemed Outstanding—a true testament to our calibre as a caring and academically ambitious school.

But what makes us truly special is how our children feel when they walk through the door each day: safe, valued, and excited to learn.

1. A Small School with a Big Heart

We’re more than a school: we’re a community that grows together.
Our setting is small—but full of life: leafy classrooms, a multi-use games area, outdoor classroom, trim trail, and field. Reception and Year 1 children enjoy an immersive outdoor space with tree house, stage, atelier and mud kitchen.
We actively engage with our local community—from seasonal carol services at the church to food-bank support, events and celebrations, our children learn the value of kindness and connection.

2. Learning that Inspires

With our broad and ambitious curriculum, learning comes to life. Children meet visiting authors, illustrators, Olympians, and artists, and enjoy in-school enrichment days such as evacuee experiences, seaside days, and theatre performances.

At Bramham, learning also develops character. Our CARE valuesConfidence, Acceptance, Resilience, and Empathy—are woven into everything we do, helping children grow into confident, caring, and resilient individuals.

3. A School Team Who Go the Extra Mile

Our committed team is the heart of Bramham. Trained in phonics, autism awareness, first aid, safeguarding and more, they bring both expertise and care. We also have specialist staff in speech and language, emotional literacy, and 1:1 reading support – so no child is ever left behind.

4. Pupil Voice and Leadership

We want our pupils to know their opinions matter. That’s why we have ambassadors for reading, equality, the environment, food choices and more. Our School Council leads change, and buddy systems connect our youngest and oldest learners in friendships that last.

5. Exceptional Support for Every Child

Every child deserves to feel understood and supported. At Bramham, we offer dyslexia screening, access to speech and language therapy, an in-school ELSA for emotional wellbeing, and a whole-school approach to resilience through the Zones of Regulation. Parents also benefit from coffee mornings, Leeds MindMate workshops and informal advice sessions.

6. A Strong Partnership with Parents

We know children thrive when parents and schoolwork together. We offer Meet-the-Teacher events, Progress Cafés (where children share their work in café style) plus stay-and-play mornings. We deliver parent information meetings on specific areas of school life such as teaching reading, PSHE, residential and online safety. You will receive Half-termly newsletters, leadership updates and attend parent-teacher evenings. We make sure you feel informed and involved at every step.

7. A Love of Learning and Academic Excellence

Our goal is simple: we want children to enjoy learning.  We challenge children through learning that is both accessible and aspirational. Whether it’s reading a new book, solving a tricky maths problem, painting a landscape or exploring history, our curriculum is designed to be exciting, challenging and rewarding. We nurture readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, artists and athletes – but above all, confident and curious learners.

In 2025, 100% of our Year 1 cohort passed the phonics screening check and our KS2 outcomes consistently exceed national standards.

8. Friends of Bramham School (FOBS)

Our PTA is the heartbeat of our school community. From Halloween discos to summer fairs, they bring families together while raising funds for playground improvements, supporting our outdoor curriculum, enhancing our reading spaces and providing trips and experiences for the children year-on-year.

9. Wrap-Around Care You Can Trust

For busy families, we provide warm, nurturing wrap-around care from 7:30am to 6pm. Children enjoy home-cooked meals, outdoor play, crafting and games – all in the company of familiar, friendly staff.

10. A Bright Future Ahead

We’re excited about what’s next. Plans are already underway to expand our outdoor learning (with a newly trained forest school leader) and strengthen our PE and Design & Technology curriculum. As our school grows, our commitment to nurturing happy, successful children will never change.
