Y5/6 Girls Football match away at Alwoodley (20/2/18) – Won 2-1

20 February 2018

In their first game of the new half term, the girls’ team travelled to Alwoodley in what they hoped would be a productive league outing. We looked really solid from the start, with Paige, Tilly and Sienna defending brilliantly. Connie had some good chances but was unlucky to hit both the post and crossbar.

The team found the breakthrough part way through the half when Sienna controlled and crossed the ball from the left corner, finding Connie, who fired passed the keeper. The second half continued much of the same; Bramham had some more chances and were able to increase their lead when Connie’s cross was bundled over the line by Lilly.

Alwoodley were able to pull one back with a great strike into the top right corner, but ultimately the girls closed the game out well to get a great win, which sees them go joint third in the league!
